AFA is STILL going after Big Brothers/Big Sisters of America (BBBSA)

This is going to be too much to bear if we do not take action immediatly.

As we had reported to you before, the AFA has currently made the BBBSA one of their main targets for their homophobic agenda. The reason: the BBBSA is "forcing" all 500 of their local chapters to accept open homosexuals into their organization as voulunteers. In doing this, the AFA has once again labeled every homosexual, by automated judgement on their part alone, child-molesters, sexual preadators, etc. This labeling and sterotyping only stems from their homophobia, because they believe that the Bible condemns homosexuality (when the Bible doesn't even mention homosexuality, much less condemn it, as reported by the Whosoever Online Magazine for the GBLT Community).

However, now they want their members (both the AFA's and the One Million Moms/One Million Dads members) to lobby the BBBSA's corperate sponsors in an attempt to have them stop their support of the BBBSA, for the above reason alone, until they reverse their decision to allow homosexual voulunteers to the BBBSA. Do you really see this? They are willing to lobby supporters of a good organization just because of their homophobia and bias. This is not only ignorant and disrespectful to the homosexuals who do not engage in the practices that the AFA labels all homosexuals as automatically, but just cruel to do to the kids who need the BBBSA.

We shall seduce them in your schools...in your youth groups, in your movie theatre bathrooms...wherever men are men together. Your sons will become our minions and do our bidding. They will be recast in our image. They will come to crave and adore us." - homosexual activist Michael Swift [EDITOR'S NOTE: We'll get to THIS in a minute.]

As of this month, the Big Brothers-Big Sisters of America (BBBSA) will require that all 500 of its local affiliates allow active homosexuals as volunteers and mentors to children. Many parents who support Big Brothers-Big Sisters may be surprised to learn that their child could soon be paired with a homosexual mentor. In fact, parents whose children are enrolled in the organization's school-based programs will not even be told when their son or daughter is matched with a homosexual man or a lesbian woman.

"Children who are involved in BBBSA programs are primarily from single-parent homes. Many of these kids are emotionally fragile and desperate for attention and affirmation from an adult of their own gender," says Dr. William J. Maier, Psychologist in Residence at Focus on the Family. Yet the national board of directors of BBBSA (at the urging of local agencies in New York and New Jersey) has determined that these boys and girls should be paired with homosexual mentors.

American Family Association Chairman Don Wildmon says this policy will have long-term repercussions. "There's no doubt the BBBSA will become a magnet for homosexuals who exploit opportunities to engage young, impressionable children with their unhealthy lifestyle. It's simply a matter of time before someone's child becomes a sexual assault victim because of BBBSA's political correctness."

While homosexual activists insist that there is no connection between homosexuality and the sexual abuse of children, the evidence indicates that a substantial number of gay men seek adolescent males or boys as sexual partners. A study in Archives of Sexual Behavior found that homosexual men are attracted to young males, including those as young as age fifteen. Researchers Karla Jay and Allen Young once reported that 73% of the homosexual men they surveyed had engaged in sex with boys sixteen to nineteen years of age or younger. It is also important to note that many pedophiles consider themselves to be homosexual. A study of 229 convicted child molesters found that 86% of offenders who molested boys described themselves as homosexual or bisexual.

Wildmon says since BBBSA has chosen to ignore sound advice to rescind this policy, corporate sponsors should be made aware their companies are endorsing programs that place children in dangerous situations. "Just the thought of a homosexual spending time alone with a 14-year-old boy should raise serious concerns within the corporate community."

In this particular mail-out, Wildmon cites homosexual activist Michael Swift as saying that (Peter LaBarbera made the same cite here). HOWEVER, a key piece was left out. Here is the actual context that the first paragraph of that particular mail-out was taken from:

In 1987, Michael Swift was asked to contribute an editorial piece to GCN, an important gay community magazine, although well to the left of most American gay and lesbian opinion. A decade later this text, printed in the Congressional Record is repeatedly cited, apparently verbatim, by the religious right as evidence of the "Gay Agenda". The video Gay Rights, Special Rights, put out by Lou Sheldon's Traditional Values Coalition cites it with ominous music and picture of children. But when the religious rights cites this text, they always omit, as does the Congressional Record, the vital first line, which sets the context for the piece. In other words, every other version of this found on the net is part of the radical right's great lie about gay people. It's a wonder how one little LINE of omitted text can actually say so much about something, as illustrated here. Swift was quoted, but was also taken out of context in a HUGE way. And we all know why. Because they [the radical right] want for their voice to be the ONLY voices heard, and they will stop at nothing to do just that.

However, in the mail-out, Wildmon made one fatal error: listing the e-mails of the targeted suppoters. Which basically means that a spy, like one for OML, can use that to launch a countermeasure.

Our spy is now not only getting the mail outs for the OMM/OMD campaigns, but for the AFA ITSELF!! We have taken this a step further, and it seems than many corperations are now starting to take some hints that you have given them. Don't stop now.

Send the below letter to the following companies: ARAMARK, Arby's Foundation, Do It Best, Footaction USA, Harlequin Enterprises Unlimited, Jack In The Box, Microsoft, Pillsbury, UPS, Valvoline, and Verizon. Tell them about the AFA's bias and homophobia, as well as the truth about homosexuality. Tell them that they wrongfully label all homosexuals as automatically being child molesters, sex preadators, and criminals. You can edit the letter, completly rewrite it, or leave it as is. But send it TODAY, NOW!!
