Also Going After...CHANNEL ONE?!! What are they complaining about with Channel One, you ask? They are worried about the advertising that Channel One uses to put their show into the schools (they have to pay their bills somehow, do they). The AFA has complained against this, even though their website plugs their own internet filters, radio station, and other publications and products that they DO make a profit from. Their argument is that students are being influenced by special offers that Channel One's sponsors have when partnered with a school and Channel One. The website has a PDF (Adobe Acrobat Reader file) of their "What One Person Can Do" newsletter concerning this issue (which is about 8 MBs worth, if you understand computer language). They have a whole list of ways that people can get Channel One out of their city's schools. Unfortunately, many faults are made in this file, and they even prove a huge point about the AFA that we have been pushing for awhile about them in this newsletter, without even realizing what they had said in it. I will personally put something in the Truth section of the site concerning Channel One in the coming days. I promise you, this will be a special report that you will want to read to believe. |
